The Company Robert Half Technology are partnering with a well-known household brand located in Brisbane's inner-north, who are expanding their technology team with the addition of a Senior QA Tester . With strong national presence and an ongoing investment in software engineering and product delivery, this organisation is committed to maintaining high-quality, scalable systems through modern automation practices. The role will be an initial contract role with the possibility to go permanent in the future. The Role You will join an established QA function, working alongside an experienced tester and collaborating closely with developers, DevOps, and product teams. You will play a key role in uplifting automation maturity, improving coverage, and embedding continuous testing within the delivery lifecycle. This position is suited to someone who is hands-on, automation-focused, and confident leading testing initiatives across multiple applications. Responsibilities Create, maintain and scale automation test frameworks (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress etc.) Build automated regression, integration and end-to-end test suites Work within CI/CD environments to ensure continuous quality checks Perform API and microservices testing (Postman/RestAssured/Swagger) Conduct defect analysis, triage and root cause investigations Collaborate with development teams to embed a shift-left QA approach Measure automation performance, reliability and coverage Contribute to ongoing QA tool uplift, standards and best practices Mentor and knowledge-share with the existing QA tester Requirements Proven experience in a QA Automation/Senior Test Engineering role Strong coding/automation capability across UI API frameworks Skilled with Selenium, Cypress, Playwright or similar tools Proficiency in scripting languages (TypeScript, C#, Java, Python etc.) Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitLab, Jenkins) Excellent debugging, analytical and problem-solving skills Strong communication ability when working with cross-functional teams Performance/load testing experience advantageous (JMeter, k6, LoadRunner) By clicking 'apply', you give your express consent that Robert Half may use your personal information to process your job application and to contact you from time to time for future employment opportunities.
